Masculinity Is Not Toxic
A Masked Man Can Be Unaware Of His Toxicity
It is the man who refuses to engage in the deep introspective Work that challenges him to integrate the dark parts of himself and see how operating from a place of fear, ego and dominance that reveals his toxicity.
He wears a mask and is unaware of his shadow, he doesn’t know God’s law nor does he allow himself to spend time in solitude to get divine direction from the Ruler who governs all his energies and directs all his paths. This is a man in a boy’s body, he acts out pf selfishness with little regard for the impact of his aggressive and intimidating approach on others and is driven by his blind ego to dominate his fellow brethren.
The toxic man doesn’t know his limits, he works himself up the ladder in his corporate position, he amasses great wealth and builds connections only to work himself to death to attain power and prestige. He enjoys whisky and wine but doesn’t know when to put the bottle down, he’s charming and irresistible to women but can’t control his urges and impulses which makes him use women as pawns in his sexual conquests.
Instead of mentoring and guiding his son into manhood, he bullies and discourages him from expressing human emotions and expects his son to live up to unattainable standards without providing a clear and intentional framework of what it takes to be a Christ like man of virtue.
He is a man often celebrated as a hero, a man’s man but if you take a closer look at how he conducts his affairs, you see a hard man who has stripped himself of all human characteristics by believing he is above all but his words contradict his actions.
What kind of man are you?
Are you led by your ego or the divine all knowing Ruler and Creator who gave you dominion but only asks you to live by His Word and obey His commandments?
